Here it is........The GTG of that should bring us all together from all parts of the Region.
I would like to have a GTG in the Mountains of Cherokee, NC. Due to a vast majority of responses, it looks like the Third weekend of Oct. ( 22nd.,23rd.,24th. )
What my plan is to arrange a place for us all to gather in and on the Indian reservation. I have 5 acres of property given to me by my grandfather who was a High Chief for the reservation.
I still have close contacts with the elders of the tribe and hope to have a tribal show and cookout on the reservation along with possibly getting a group rate to go see Unto these Hills, put on by the Cherokee Indians.
I'm also looking into areas that we can go four wheeling on the property without any intervention from local law other than the tribal nation.
As far as hotels, I'm still looking for who can give us the best rates and group deal.
For a cruise I was thinking about heading over to the Biltmore Estate for a photo shoot and stop along the way for scenic views like Pigeon River, Looking glass falls, Sliding Rock, Pisgah Inn over look etc....There is so much we can do for fun especially around the Fall time period.
I hope we can make this happen, but it's going to take me some time to make all the arrangements. So I'll keep you all posted. Also I will add information to this first page as it becomes available to me. i.e. Hotels, Camp Grounds, Drinking, etc...
I'll start to compile a list as we go of who's coming vs. maybes starting now.
