Congratulations to the engineering team that designed the Chevrolet Trailblazer, North American Truck of the Year for 2002. According to the story, the Trailblazer just eeked out a victory over the Chevrolet Avalanche, that came in a close second. The Jeep Liberty was third in a pack of about 10 nominations.

This was a key win for the General because they were head to head against the completely redesigned 2002 Ford Explorer - the creator and sweetheart of this category. The Explorer was trounced in the competition.
