Helllo.

I got 2008 Chevy Avalanche 5,3 LTZ and I live in Finland. So I wonder if someone knows if there is available navigation DVD (Europe, Finland included) for my truck.

I would be grateful for information. Toni :)

That would likely be an ebay special, a quick google search suggests that you were meant to call "877-628-3472" to order update discs for the system, but they changed methods in 2010 and honestly i'm not sure that it can be updated to a satisfactory standard. https://www.gmpartsonline.net/blog/how-to-update-chevy-and-gmc-navigation-units

But realistically, you're probably going to want to look for an alternative gps method, like using your phone or replacing the head unit with something that supports android auto or apple car play. The reason being that gps tech has evolved immensely and cell phone based systems are generally much more useful thanks to their connection to the internet they are able to grab data and allow them to avoid traffic backups, road closures, construction zones, ect.

I dont know how much travel you do, but that's a deal breaker in this day and age. Once you use it, it's hard to go back. But if all you need is general guidance, it may be sufficient to use what you have. It just wont be up to date with road changes. I've used an old gps on a trip and saw entire highways that no longer exist, or have major changes to their layout that made me more lost than reading traffic signs. Not to mention addresses that didnt exist back then, dont exist now, or have had their numbers/ road name completely changed.

I have my navigation disk still, but i haven't even bothered trying to use it.

What version do you have? The only EU based disc I can find currently is from 2009... GM part# 25962214

Like Raekal said, any version you find will be outdated as they stopped providing new releases. The final version for US was 2016, unsure on EU last version.

Thanks, for your reply. I think that I will change my radio system to android version as suggested. Thanks again to both of you. Toni
