Christmas on Main Street, Volant PA, Nov 10 2018

We're out. Deb's ears aren't any better and after spending the day outside in the cold, nasty rain, I have no desire to freeze my ass off tomorrow :p . Ian, eat a doughnut or two for me.

We'll catch y'all at the next one.

we?re staying in Ross, so we will see everyone st the apple castle somewhere between 9 and 10 tomorrow.

Bundle up ya?ll!!! I hope the donuts are HOT!

Just an FYI to Jim and any other Ohioans, it seems to be a but "slick :E:" out there, I80 West is shutdown in West Middlesex. There seems to be an accident  :damon:somewhere near the PA/OH border.
So please everyone be careful.

I have just come in from my morning walk with Dexter Lakeland at our hotel in Mercer. There is a layer of ice beneath the 1/2" of snow on the ground, and the wind is very cold. It's a good thing we Canadians live in Igloos and are accustomed to this kind of weather!!!

Thank you for the info.  We have a light dusting of snow at my house and gusty winds.

Got a phone call from Tpicks55.  They are out.
Looks like it is just me and OldVMer at Summit.

We?re gonna have to meet up with you guys later in volant.
Its just too cold to have Kasch outside for that long! We should be there around 2:00

Another good GTG, even if it was a bit chilly at Volant.  Major disappointment that it was too cold for the yeast to rise so there were no Amish donuts.  Tried not to buy too much cheese this year.  I think we were successful in that endeavor.  Dinner was good even though we had a long wait to get in.  Would have been nice if they could have accommodated larger groups so we didn't have to break up into so many small tables.  Menu and food were great.

DirtyGirl and I once again had a great time in Volant.
Dinner was delicious, but our boy Dexter was anxious to get back to the hotel for his dinner.
We didn't get a chance to say goodbye to everyone on our way out, but wanna say thanks to everyone, and give a special Thank You to GBT and Toots for all the hard work to put together another fun GTG.  (y)

It is nice to see so many still come despite the cold temps and slippery roads.  Thank you.
Please post photos.

So is this a dig since we didnt go??

Not in my opinion.  I wouldn't blame anyone for backing out given that we saw at least 6 vehicles that had slid off the Interstate at an icy bridge that morning.  It was wicked driving until about 8:30 or 9:00 a.m.

No.
If I had not invited my Dad, and was not coordinating, I may have stayed home too.
Especially if I had known there were no donuts.
