Cladding Holding Up In Winter

Anyone have any thoughts on how the cladding holds up in the winter. Is this stuff going to crack in extreme cold? Or is it durable enough to withstand old man winter?

That brings up another issue. Since we can't clean the metal underneath the cladding, isn't this susceptable to rusting? Or collecting small pebbles or road sand?

Here in CO, they don't use road salt. They put down sand and rock. I suppose in the midwest, the salt would be an issue.

;D ;D

Not to worry I got my A\V last December went through the winter there were a few weeks of minus 35 to 40 celcius here dam cold the truck performed great no problems starting warms up quick butt warmers are very nice on those cold mornings. there were no rattles. As for the salt we have tones of the stuff at times the truck is white it drives me nuts ,lots of trips to the car wash I have had no problems with debrie under the cladding I think they did a good job on the cladding they have big openings at the bottom for everything to wash out. Enjoy

While my AV has been as cold as RDSIGN's - it was up playing in -30F last year in CO and there was no problems.

I am sure if you whacked the cladding when it is very cold, it would tend to crack a little easier.

I'm in NE Ohio and we get lot's of really bad weather. I had the cladding on a Grand Cherokee and it held up very well. The paint under the cladding looked really good. The body parts are dipped and should not rust as long as we don't start drilling holes in the metal.
