Colorado Speed Shop? Custom Hood!

Hey Chadstr,

I am in Indianapolis, unfortunately the Indiana winters hasn't been kind to my stock hood.I just wanted to know if the reflexxion hood is as good of quality as they claim it to be. I don't want to buy something that is going to turn into a nightmare. I want something that fits well and isn't a POS !

Thanks in advance,

Todd

Howdy,

I was loging on today to say my goodbye and noticed the update to this post.  My AV is unfortunately going to become the victim of a Divorce.  We're probably going to wholesale her to pull out the equity very soon.

As far as the hood.  I was surprised when the hood arrived and it was not functional.  After a little while of having it, you can see that the ram scoop has gaps around the hood and than the plastic pins (which are formed into the soop) are clearly visable on the side (there are 3 or so long dimples now on each side).

I actually have 2 more of the plastic scoops as I though I would be modding it, but no joy with the Divorce.

In the future, I would not venture into Ram air again(just me personally).  The cost of the process, aftermarket fiberglass for the functional hoods, and the debate as to how much they work, are keeping me away.

With that said however, I do notice my AV running cooler with the Cowl hood and would do that one again, which basically makes my hood still a buy (minus the ram air thoughts).....

I feel your pain. I had to part with my first Avy due to divorce, Stay positive man and be the bigger person, Remember only fight for what is really important and let the rest go! On a happier note I have a newer Avy now!
