Come one! Come all! To the Connecticut Chapter?s long awaited, first annual Paintball Free-for-all! You are officially invited to join the Connecticut Chapter for a day of fun in the woods, playing in the dirt and shooting at each other!

This adventure will be held at Hogan's Alley field in Meriden, CT. Reservations have been set and scheduled for Sunday, November 30th with a late lunch at Chili's Restaurant.

Weather reports so far say this should be a great day for this, as the forecast is for a cool day which will allow everyone to wear multiple layers for paintball protection.

Plan is to meet up and leave the Darien, CT area around 10:30 for the trip to the Paintball field.

For people in NY and NJ - There are two meetup locations for you to caravan to Connecticut.

NJ AREA - NJ Turnpike (Vince Lombardi) Rest Stop - "BikerChic1977" - Erin will gather members and head over to Bronx, NY area to meetup with Sicilianos Avy - Manny - Bronx, New York

NY AREA - Sicilianos Avy - Manny - Bronx, New York - Manny will gather the groups and head to the meeting spot in Connecticut. - I-95 Rest Stop - between exits 12 and 13 in Darien, CT

Timeline for the GTG:

8:15 - 8:35 AM - NJ GROUP MEETUP - NJ Turnpike (Vince Lombardi) Rest Stop

8:40 AM - NJ GROUP - Departs to Bronx, NY for meetup

9:00 AM - NJ GROUP arrives at Bronx, NY for meetup with NY GROUP for caravan to CT Meeting location.

9:05 AM - Both groups caravan ASAP to CT meeting spot for restrooms, coffee, fuel etc.

9:30 - 10:25 AM - I-95 (Northbound) Rest Stop - between exits 12 and 13 in Darien, CT
Meet and greet at I-95 Rest Stop (Fresh coffee, bagels and home baked goodies will be provided by Mrs. GMAN - Fuel, ATM and restroom facilities available

10:30 AM - Depart rest stop and caravan to the paintball field. The sooner we get there the sooner we get suited up, signed in and get shooting.

Paintball field will be available to us until 3:00 pm

When everyone has had enough fun we can all strip off a layer or two / quick change into some clean clothes and head over to the Chili's Restaurant in Hamden, CT for some food and post game stories.

Some notes:
Hogans Alley was chosen for the following reasons
Better prices - It will be roughly 40 dollars per person
Better setup for new players
Better overall feel of the business

This Paintball place will allow you to rent camo outfits for 5 dollars per person

Players will need to be 10 years and up for insurance reasons. (Can get around this, just don't say anything and don't be crazy out there)

I will be making a visit to both of these locations to see the facilities firsthand.

I will also get prices for a group, just don't know how many that will be yet, or if it will be cheaper that way.

I have been itching to try out my new marker ;D, so I might want to go to it. However it is just after thanksgiving so it may be a little hard given that I would be heading toward Boston.

I posted on the N.E. Chapter site. I am pretty sure I can make it but would not know for sure if I would have to work that weekend or not until that week.

I would also bring my 14 yo son.

I would go if it was during warmer weather and I did not have my daughter that weekend.

no colder is better.. here's my rational:
cold out=many layers of clothing=more padding=less bruising.. at least i'm hoping that how it works out, but with my luck it'll be the coldest weekend in history, i'll end up with frostbite, loss my fingers and never drive my av again.. >:D lol

(Food options has yet to be determined. Suggestions?)
