It would be nice instead of all of us straggling in one at a time to have several "convoys" of AV's rolling in together. ?We will all be coming from different directions and nearly impossible for everyone to hooked up on the road, but.......if everyone could figure out thier route and then predict what time they will hit the Tenn border, the Welcome Centers on the Interstates would be a great place for hooking up. ?The WV and Ohio (about 5 of us) will be heading South on 1-81 and should arrive at the Tenn Welcome Center at Bristol between 1230 and 1:00. ?AVzee is going to meet up with us there. Anyone else traveling from the Northeast or Eastern Va could plan on being there at about the same time. ?At that point we are about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from Pigeon Forge. ?Those of you traveling from the North on I-75 or on I-40 could hook up at those Centers. ?Just an idea :0:

Us folks coming from NC need to get together as well. Probably the best place that I can think of is right after I-26 and I-40 merge in Asheville.
 
WEll for the JACKSONVILLE CREW AND FURTHER SOUTH. some of us are leaving Wednesday night and head out to Columbia,SC stay over and meet up first thing in the morning Thursday with Wiki, Tinman and few others. We should be in Pigeon Forge by 1PM. taking 1-26 to 1-85 N. into Pigeon Forge. I believe its' 1-40.
 
For us heading up on Friday coming from NC we could also meet here.

The foothills parkway is a scenic road.

We can leave from Charlotte at the same time and hhok up with the folks from Raleigh in Statesville for a 4-5 AV convoy.
I'd like to plan on meeting others at a rest stop off of I-40 at the border. Would be cool.

Whenever I don't have any plans that day, pretty much a lazy day getting there.

Where do you want to meet up at in Charlotte as well as meeting the other people in Statesville?
 
Coming from East Central Virginia, We are planning to pass through Richmond before mid-morning Thursday, headed west on I-64. We plan to take the Blue Ridge Parkway just west of Charlottesville, and meander as far south as Fancy Gap, Virginia, where we will spend the night. Friday we will leave early, headed for Pigeon Forge. We will probably stop at some of the scenic turnouts along the way, and if we see any other Avs along the way, we'll stop and say hello. Feel free to do the same if you go that way, and see a green Z71 in a roadside turnout.

You might PM several metro Atlanta members that have posted for recent North Georgia Chapter GTG's. We have
several members around Macon, but as of today none have taken their first GTG step.

I know Columbia is not close to Macon area but feel free to hook up with us.

We will be leaving Franklin, VA Thursday morning and stopping at a B&B in Winston Salem, NC for the night. Leaving around nine on I-40 heading for the Gathering of AV's. Anybody coming thru around then or stopping somewhere in route on I-40?
 
I'm looking to leave Wednesday afternoon and get there Thursday morning. If all goes well I should be the first one there... and then I won't have to get any grief from Tinman. >:D

Anyone coming from NJ that wants to leave around that time is welcome to join me.

I plan on leaving for the return trip early Sunday morning.

There are 2 guys from Raleigh coming that way, and 2 of us coming up from Charlotte. We can all meet on I-40 in Statesville (about 45 minutes west of Winston-Salem) around noonish.
Would that would for you?

I was hoping to get an earlier start. Statesville is 45 miles from Winston Salem, but what the hell I'm game for a convoy. Just let me know when and where. ;D
Don't have to check out until 11:30am.

Well, I do consider myself a professional photographer and yes, some of us have to be at work by 8:30am Monday morning. :)

Not all of us are taking the whole following week off too... not naming any names... :D:

Actually, if he's coming West from W-S (so are ZukRacer and Davidw55) we can all hook up in Statesville and head west from there. That way we would have a convoy of at least 5 going from this area. Thoughts?

We can leave anytime. I was planning on leaving Charlotte around 10ish, but we can move that back to 9, and meet in Statesvill around 10:30. Thoughts?

Well, me and EarthQuake are hoping to meet up and caravan on thursday between 8:30 - 9:30am at the Flying J Truckstop off I-40 (exit 182) and head the rest of the way to PF...anyone else coming that way at that time is welcome to come along!

Will have my FRS tuned to channel 8!

EQ, help me out here with details since you are da man!
