Hey ya-

So here I was returning from the vet in Los Gatos and what do I spot? Well check it out for yourself!

The owner was nearby and we got atalkin' about his 2002 Z66 AV with custom paint, wheels, exhaust and interior. I thought it was well done and very clean. The painted cladding looks great. I also liked what he did with the exhaust. Very original. Also notice that he painted the inside console the same color as the exterior. Nice touch.

Of course I gave him a CAFCNA flyer and invited him to join. I hope he makes it here and joins in some of the future NorCal events.

Enjoy!

See DiChris, now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. Those ss emblems look sweet (y). Not to fussy on the exhaust but give it time...things seem to grow on me. You'd have to lose all towing capabilities and with the toys I got, that's not goin' to happen. Very nice digs though.

That is PURDY!!

I love that exhaust, did he say anything about it?

;D

Kim

No, sorry, except that an exhaust friend did it for him.

You know it is funny. I was driving down the road today wondering why *no one* has thought about that sort of exhaust setup before. And then, if occured to me, that he HAS NO RECEIVER. Sorry, but I'm not giving up my towing ability for a cool looking exhaust. In fact, I think that's the first AV I've ever seen without a tow package.

i was just thinking the samething about the hitch receiver. but, it does look cool though. i would not do it myself. i would rather be able tow.

everytime i see an AV with wheels i want some. i just do not want to spend that kind of money now. besides, i got a brand new set of Z-71 tires i need to get mounted. the wifes' truck will be needing some tires as well. :E: so much for saving cash for the new wheels.

is the bumper painted as well. i don't think i would like the rear bumper to be painted. on the top anyway. as i do step on it quite a bit.

Yeah, its painted. Yeah, I agree. Thats one of the things I like about AVs bumpers. You hit something or something bumps up against you, its not likely to show. The recent trend on european cars is to have painted bumpers. Which look really nice, but they don't fair well with "parking by braille" co-drivers. >:D

"Parking by braille". ;D

 That's a very sweet ride... I would also like to know what did he do to get the exhaust to the rear?

Yes Those Look Like 22's To Me. I got my SS logos from a bud who works for GM. Here are some pics:

Those are Silverado SS emblems. Check with Dealer. Been wanting some myself but just haven't pursued it yet. I like. (y)

It's an option on the '03s. So on a Base model, like mine....no tow package. Only thing I'd use one for is a cool hitch cover.

I will say that that thing is incredible looking - he also painted the dash trim bezel the same color as the truck and console (in case you did not notice (y) ;) ) Anyway this gives me a list a mile long to do to mine - now after I find a new regular job I will need a good second job to pay far all the mods I have added! (y) ;) :D >:D

Ok their 22s but what kind? Manufacturer? Rim name?

I've seen so many, I can't tell them apart anymore. I think they're TSW Spilx...anybody know? The problem with that is the Splix only comes in 20 & 24.

You know, I am/was really hoping that the owner of the fine AV above would join this club. He seemed sincerely interested and was asking about get-togethers and cruises. I wonder if he has *any* idea how much interest in his truck he has generated! Its even on the front page!
