Correct Tire Pressure On Z66 (17" Tires).

I only have 1800 miles on my Z66 (born on 5/22/02).
I have a set of Goodyear Wrangler HP and the air pressure is set at 30 PSI as per instructions on door sill. I have only 1900 miles on it but after glancing at the front tires I notice the it seems to wear at the outer edges more that it should. Cannot attribute the wear to fast curves either! Could 30 PSI be too low?

I read some where on this site that dealers will sometimes lower the tire pressure in order to improve the way the vehicle rides. I checked my tire pressure and it was also at 30 PSI. The tires say 44psi max so I pumped mine up to 42. (BTW I didn't notice the sticker on the door) I was hoping for better gas mileage but it is still to soon to tell.

you'll find a sticker with infos on the tires on the driver door sill. I think 42 psi might be a little much since 45 is max. I think 35 or 37 could be a good compromise.

I used to keep my stock Z66 tires at 34 - 36psi. I used G-xx spreadsheet to calculate the recommended pressure. The link should be in one of the topics that ygmn posted.

34-36 psi is what I was using also. It seemed to work well.
