Corsa dB muffler

Hi all,

I ve played with this muffler on my truck, the sound is very loud, too much loud   , I know is diesel muffler. My neighbors don t sleep with it, I think to sell him and replace with magna flow or another reputed brand, do you think is ok? And where I can get?

Looking to keep my set up, center center in 3"

You might be able to replace that model Corsa for the correct model for your AV. The Corsa Sport muffler would be quieter but if you need quieter than that you could consider the Corsa Touring system, that is as quiet as a Cadillac but still offers performance gains.

News from the front, my setup is perfect right now, the too much sound come from on a pipe. Originally I ve just buy the muffler on eBay, pipe come from Belgium. I ve cutted with a recipro before the stock muffler, after that, placed the muffler and the problem born here, avalanche's pipe is too small for the db muffler...but my imagination solve the problem. I ve lot of pic but is very hard to put here

My truck sound like 4 Harley's blocked in the line

Finally and after r?flexion with my wife is over loud, Nice and deep rumble but too much
How i can decrease the sound? With a resonator before the muffler?
Any exp?rience with this case?

The factory exhaust from Chevy has a resonator near the tip of the exhaust not before the muffler. You could try adding one in that location and may be able to find a member on this site that has one they took off their stock exhaust. Try posting a request in the "Wanted to buy" section and see if you get any responses. That will probably be the cheapest way to try what you want.
Personally I would just change out the Corsa diesel muffler and use the correct muffler for an AV 5.3 motor that way you don't have to change the whole exhaust but could get a setup that will give you the deep throaty sound at acceleration but is quiet at idle or cruising. If you need more quiet look at Corsa Touring muffler too for quieter sound overall but still good performance.

Hello friend,

It was so simple my truck have 500+ hp since 5 years, the only reason is the money, shipping and custom are overpriced. Ex: whole corsa exhaust system delivery on my door cost 1700$... I ve the chance to get the muffler on eBay on very good chape like a new for 400$ on my door then i grab it.
