Ok.. so Ive had my 07 for a few weeks now and absolutely love it.. however ive had a few issues lately and wanted to see if anyone here had any ideas or at least see if im just an idiot.

1) I have the rearseat ent. package, and right after I bought it, I tested it out w/ a dvd of mine, watching on both the front and back screens while parked in my driveway.. the other day, I wanted to put a dvd on in the backseat, so I put it in, and the rear screen acted like it had no power.  I tried it again in park and now the front screen works, but the back doesnt still.  Tried the power button on the rear stereo console and verified it was set to dvd, and nothing.. am I completely blind or is there another powerbutton im missing?

2) Every time I start my car, my info display says "parking assist off".  The light on the PA button in the console is on, and when I press it, it flashes a few times and returns to on.. is this normal?  I dont recall this coming up until a few days ago.

Anyways.. anyone with thoughts?

Well, the system cal detect those "naughty" types of movies, so shame on you for watching!

Just kidding.  I cannot answer your question, but I would suggest you post it in the Audio/Video section, or "problems;A/V" section, you will get a better response.  I don't know if there are that many differences between the '06 & '07 entertainment packages, but many of the gurus will be able to help.

Good Luck.  It can be frustrating especially with a new ride!

Can't answer the A/V problem, but can offer some assistance on the parking assist.

From what I have learned, the parking assist is more of a smart parking assist. Learning things. For example when a trailer is on the back it disables itself.

What I have heard is that if you have a small garage and park in there backwards, getting right up on that wall, the parking assist senses it and disables itself. It will not reset when you leave the garage.

I'll tell you this, my parking assist has a mind of it's own. I disable it as I feel it is junk.

LOL .. the Rear dvd .. I had the same issue..

USE THE REMOTE .. hit the power button and problem will be solved.

Park assist..  Make sure your tailgate is closed completely. I found one time it wasn't and had that issue.

The parking assist will disable if a slider(2x2 with ball) is installed. Remove it and parking assist will able up...Other things that reflect a signal will disable it as well...Hope that helps...

I meant to mention the hitch thing as well, having your receiver installed in the hitch is sensed by the parking assist and makes it auto disable. Sometimes it will go spastic and beep non stop too rather than shutting down for some reason.

really, i thought it would be cool to have.

Punisher, it is cool to have, sometimes the thing is really sensitive. It takes a bit to get used to what makes it act finicky.

As I mentioned before it does have auto disable, so if you park close to something, when you leave that spot it will be disarmed and will reset itself after a little while. Takes some getting used to and I retract my junk statement.
