Maybe you have the cracked window frame problem mentioned on here before...try a search and see if the threads help....

i think i did because i just looked at it and it has like a centimeter chunk out of the plastic frame im going to the town were i bought it tomarrow to get some floor for our house so ill stop at the dealer and tell them about it

Hey Jakson!

Wow! I thought i was the only one that had this problem. The dealer ordered me a new back window when I took mine out and showed him the piece that was missing. Check out the pics I took @

If he gives you a hard time, show him my pics and tell him my dealer came through with a replacement.

yeah that looks like mine only mines by the lil arrow i didnt make it today we were in too much of a rush but i will go again in a week or more and i will go then but yeah my dealer guy is very nice so im sure he'll go with it thanks

Hey Jackson According to your description we have the same problem, I already spoke to my dealer last Friday, and I'm waiting for an answer, what ever happened with your case.

Hey all,,,

You might think this is funny, but lower the rear seats, and leave the window in, then open and slam the mid gate... It has some pretty stiff latches, and I had this noise too... I read on this forum, that a few guys went to the dealership, and the tech just slammed the gate, and all was fine... A lot have also complained of water leaks, and half of them weren't slamming the gates closed... haha

It's worth a try...

I too had noticed these "noises" also. Both with the original window, and, after the frame cracking, the new replacement window. However, the only fix I have found is to make sure you keep the rubber well lubricated, with Armor All or another lubricant for rubber.

Also, I found this to work with the bed covers and the midgate for ease of operating and to keep things dry. Clean them well with a damp cloth, then apply the rubber protectant.

Good advice on checking the midgate. However, I've heard (and verified it based on experience) that slamming the midgate does not always latch it properly.

There are two latches at the top of the midgate, and they are double latches just like on the doors. Close it gently, and the first latch clicks and prevents it from falling, but it isn't pulled in tight to the weatherstipping. Close it harder, and the second latch clicks, and it's fully seated.

Slamming it might get both latches in the second position, or it might only get one. To be sure, close the midgate, and then push firmly on each latch: put the heel of your palm on one of the protruding bulges at the top of the midgate and press firmly: put your weight into it. Then repeat on the other side.

To verify that you are doing it hard enough, close the midgate gently, just until it clicks. If you try to move it now, you'll see it has some play. You are now in the first latch poisition. Now try the pushing trick, and you should hear a distinct click from each latch as it goes into the second latch position.

Once you are familiar with how much pressure it takes, closing it is a simple matter of flipping up the gate and then pushing on each latch. Maybe slamming it will get you there, maybe not. It's best to get in the habit of always checking (especially when you have noise or a leak.)
