Thursday:

Few arrived early. Dinner was done with 10 people at Cody's Steakhouse.

Friday:

Cleaned, Prepped, and Gatorback'd Byron's Truck. Started at 9:00 AM and finished at 6:00 PM.

Huggy, Vic, and Raceman's wife went swimming with the manatees first thing in the morning while me, JohnB, and Byron were in the paint booth at the dealership.

What happened outside of the paint booth.. don't really know much about it.

Saturday:

8:30 AM - showed up at the dealership to make sure everything was set for the 9:30 AM start.

8:35 AM - CTA Audio calls and had to cancel the show due to wife and son being extremely sick.

8:45 AM - Trent w/ Rocky Ridge Conversions (aka ctrentc) shows up at the dealership after sleeping in the Wal-Mart parking lot due to ALL hotels in Crystal River being FULL. Arriving in style with his customized AV and enclosed trailer.

Next thing I know, he's opening up the back of the trailer, unloading the grill, hotdogs, cooler, super charger (had to keep Byron at bay all day) and the inflateable air man.

I can't thank Trent enough for helping me out today. Especially after driving all night and sleeping in the truck. Much love goes out to you!!

9:30 AM - Caravan of 28 trucks pulls into the dealership lot. Air horns blairing, strobes going, was definitely a sight to see. All the employees from the dealership came out to see the commotion.

1:00 PM - GTG going in full force. Trucks constantly pulling in all day. 2 new Crystal River members show up after I tagged them 2 days ago.

3:00 PM - Winding down now. Finishing up on the 3rd coat of Gatorback to Byron's Truck, Finalizing Mo's & Sourmash's Gatorback application. (Mo is now my newest sweetheart.. well.. Jody too)

6:00 PM - Final AV count 47 AV's

6:30 PM - Cruise to Sportster's for dinner. Me, Byron, Josh, and JohnB waiting for the crew from the hotel (we left the dealership at 6:00 and drove straight to the restaurant) Huggy block's traffic for the left turn into the parking lot. GREAT JOB HUG!!

6:45 PM - Dinner kicks off with a bang!!!

Greatest part today... couple comes into the dealership to buy a Malibu, walks through the trucks, and buys and Avalanche instead!!!!

Now thats cool as hell. Did you get there pic?

My friend (finance manager of the store) came outside and told me.

Told me they were also going to sign up with the club as well.

With so much going on.. it was hard for me to go back and forth.

Dune,

Thanks for the great time and all your effort.  Spacegator and I were also speaking with a man under the tent who was asking questions about the AV etc.

Great to here the story about the couple buying the AV!!

Sunday:

Few stuck around for some additional modding in the hotel parking lot.

Spacegator got his strobe on.

CrazyGlue got his 6 light on high mod and FTDRL mod.

I got the 6 light high mod (just have to add HID highs now)

JohnB got the 6 light high mod.

And as always, Sourmash supplied the diodes. This man never ceases to amaze me.

And a special thanks to LoonyTunes for showing up today to hang out and eat breakfast with us.

6 hours and 10 minutes after leaving the hotel in Crystal River, I'm home in Augusta. ?Gotta get ready to work all night now. ?thanks Dune for the hospitality and welcoming me into your home. ?

Where do I begin....lets see... great to see everyone agaon and good to meet all of the new members. ?It was great to finally put a face with the names. ?

Thanks again to Wes, Siera and Ashton for making me feel right at home. ?Before I forget...the quote for the whole weekend was...

"Byron, what the hell is that?"....straight out of 2 year old Ashton's mouth. ?At first i wasn't sure if I heard him right, then I saw Siera's reaction and knew I heard him right, and also knew that I shouldn't laugh, but couldn't hold it in after seeing her reaction. ?

I spent all day Friday and about 1/2 the day Saturday in the paint booth with JohnB Gatorbacking my truck. ?MAN, it looks like a new truck. ?Thanks again John for your help in arranging everything and getting it done. ?

Rock Ridge Conversions saved the day Saturday with drinks and food. ?150 hot dogs were gone in no time. ?Even after seeping in the Wal Mart parking lot, they still made it to the dealer and were set up and in high spirits.

The dinner at Sportsters was great as well. ?Some of the group had to wait a while to get their food, but considering we took up the whole restaurant, excluding 3 or 4 booths, it was sort of expected. ?The staff there seemed to enjoy helping us out and managed to keep smiling the whole time. ?

Wes, I don't know what to say about the plaque. ?Getting it was the highlight of my weekend. ?To be included with the other members who got one, JohnBChef, Sourmash, Hug_R_Av and Tinman was great and unexpected. ?And yes, I honestly got choked up when I realized Dave was talking about me. ?

I finished up the weekend with a little modding at the hotel. ?I heard rumor that the fogs-on-hi mod for the 03+'s actually works. ?However the all-on-fogs (except fogs) mod wasn't a success....sorry crazyglue. ?That and the rewiring of Space gator's strobes twice along with the fact that I had to get back home to get to work tonight force me to leave a great group of guys in the parking lot and hit the road. ? It was a long rough trip home, no tickets, luckily. ?

See everyone soon.

I still think you got off easier than my newbie initiation (hello Hoss ?)

Wes, and everyone who was involved,
Great job in getting this GTG together and making everyone feel like family. ?It was great to meet all the other members, and put faces with names, although some should remain faceless..... :kidding: ?but anyway it was a great time, and next time you are in Crystal River, I do not reccomend the WAL-MART INN. ?Looking forward to doing this again...... I should have some pics posted up on my site in the coming days......Thanks again :B:
