Crimestopper remote start question

I recently had a Crimestopper 999 remote start installed in my 2002 Avalanche and everything works well but there are a few minor changes from stock operation that are driving my wife crazy. Foremost is the lack of courtesy light when unlocking the doors and a few other issues that I will not bore anyone with. I had to get the PLDATA module for the remote start and there is an available GMDL module that I am thinking of trying that interfaces with the door locks/factory alarm that seem to address everything that doesn't work for our vehicle but is only listed for 2003 and up trucks. Is there anyone out there that installed this module on their 2002 or any advice that anyone can lend on this?
