Here is a mod for us bench seat people.
?In the bucket seats the front part of the center console is actually a seperate piece from the rest of the console. This is the place many people have mounted cassette players or DVD players. We bench seat owners unfortunatly do not currently have this option. I called Dal Slabough at Vandevers and ordered the pieces that make up that console. Less than $100 dollars for all of it including shipping. However there is still large hole where the center console fitted into the front console.
I plan to install a navigation DVD player into the console and maybe I can take a nice piece of burled wood and cut it and trim it to fit. Where is my dremel tool?. I guess a smoked piece of plexi glass with neon behind it would work also. Lets see a 8" sub woofer might fit under there, Nah! ?I probably don't need the woofer for talk radio and that's mostly what I listen to. ?This is certainly cheaper than a custom built job and should look more like stock. When I get back home I will complete the mod and send pics. Anyone have ideas on how to cover the hole where the center console slides into the front console? ?
