I went in to get my brake pads replaced. I wasn't having any squealing, but I wasn't far from pushing the pedal to the floor. I have approx 47k miles in my 04 WBH and the service tech told me that my brake pads look brand new. So I had him just bleed the brakes in case air had got into the lines and it seems to slow down a LOT better now.
Now, here's my question. The service tech was talking to me about liking my truck, but said that one thing he doesn't like is the fact that if the steering belt goes, the brakes go as well. I'm not VERY mechanically inclined, so is that true? I could only imagine that belt to brake and the OH S@#T factor that would come to play.. Guess that is the importance of maintenance on belts..
