hey fellas,

thought i should start a topic on what current MOD's are on your rig. i know they're on most everyone's sig, but this way people reading might catch something they like and can ask about it.

list everything, and i mean everything; down to your billet bowtie cig lighter, hehe..

well, mine consists of:

Engine/Drivetrain:
- K&N KIPK
- Flowmaster (dual rear exit)
- TB bypass
- 4.10 rear
- 3" cut-out (for fun) ;)
- castrol syntec 5w/30
Exterior:
- smittybuilt nerf bars
- z71 hitch cover
- inline window visors
- billet bowtie
- billet grille
- R&D headlight controller
- R&D foglight controller
- 35% 4 window tint
- 33 BFG AT's
Interior:
- 1.5 DIN Alpine reciever
- Rockford fosgate 100x4
- Infninty Reference Components (6.5" midbass/ 1" tweets)
- Denali smooth door handles (replaced original black plastic ones)

...and it think thats about it. i'll add on if i remember.

I was think of the installing the - Infninty Reference Components (6.5" midbass/ 1" tweets) also. Did it make a major difference? Did you add an Amp?

they are awesome, and yes, an amp is a must (listed above; RF 100x4). ? forget woofers, the midbass is totally enough, plus the system is clean because of the silk tweets. ?

the rear is the most important role in sound staging your system. ?i chose to fab the tweets into the rear of the console (adj. swivel) above the cup holders. ?all i did to the ?console was drill a tiny hole for the wires, but the whole thing is covered flush with a screen, so you cant see 'em...

Hey folks, I moved this topic, I figured it will get the most attention here.. ;)

ok here we go, not much but a start. street and performance tb spacer, trenz bowtie, 35% window tint, and a nofear sticker lol. soon to have a 2 chamber flowmaster with 4inch tips, k&n fipk, superchips microtuner. Alex

Well I just started mine but got a good start. I've got the K&N box and filter, GM Grille Guard and Side Steps, Larger Tires 275-70-16, Third member brake mod, Avalanche Hitch Cover, Bike Rack from Trule, Lundi Bug Deflector, Indiglo Reverse Cluster overlay and Chevy Valve stem caps. ?Today I orderd the 4" lift kit (RAN6547).

I'm looking for a PIII computer mod that will not fry the computer but it looks risky right now. Is there another chip mod available that really works?

Hypertech works fine (#30012) ... The only thing that will sting you with it is if Onstar fuse is not pulled, and if you have any current draw from battery wile programming... Make sure you sit in truck, doors closed, auto headlights dis-abled, fan of, yada, yada, yada ...

I have had 4 Hypertechs and have programmed/de-programmed with them 50-60 times... At least 6 or 7 on current 5.3 AV ... No issues... BUT I did read the manual concerning Onstar ... Read manual before plugging in ... It's worth it ... It tells all ... If it happens to "hang" the manual tells you how to recover from it ... I have never had a hang once ...

BTW, Hypertech has been in the tuning business since the early 80's, and has the knowledge/longevity to build a sound product...
