No new mouse trap here but here's a little twist on the painted bug deflector. Went down to the local print shop and they made me a couple of stickers to put on the backside of the deflector, wasn't feeling to imaginative but here's the sticker.
They were even gracious enough to apply it and the fellow I was working with really liked Avalanches and when we went outside to check mine out he asked if I wanted those z71 stickers off and yeah of course I did so he went grabbed a propane torch, heated them up and peeled them right off, took all of two minutes to complete both sides. He charged me 5 bucks for the whole process, I bought some stickers from them just to say thanks for the price break.
Taped up the deflector....
Painting the deflector. I wiped it down with some alcohol and a clean rag but after the first spray there was still some oils left on the deflector but no worries I knew after several layers they would disappear.
Finished product.
Your thinking does that say Avalanche 2? Ha, no, the two slashes should be gran touring strips but in the end it looks like Roman numerals. I'll leave it for now winter is coming and if I don't like it come spring I can pull those off and just repaint.
Another thing I love about white, the truck was pretty dirty when I took the pics.
