I have been thinking of painting mine or billet grill.

Now i see F*** has them std on F150's.

I want mine to be different. so if F*** puts them out everywhere, won't that defeat the purpose.
I hate F!@#!%!

will I be happy now if i get billet and F*** is saturating the mkt?

it's hard to find a site that has several different grilles with pics. I don't think we have a thread that people post their grille picks, so let's see some.

I have a chrome speed grille from Street Scene, and it looks awesome! ?Very different.

Did they start selling those again. ?They pulled them off the market for a while. ?I wanted one of those. I tried to buy one back in January from Autoanything.com and they told me they pull them off the market cause peopler where complaining they could not open the hoods. They said that Street Scene was still selling the peice that went above the bow tie but not the part below the bow tie.

I have the typical billet grill from Carriage Works.

Has anyone painted their grill to match the color of their AV? I was thinking about going with the billet grill,or how it would look if I painted it red to match. ???

I' m planning on painting my chrome crossbar red and MAYBE the grille yellow- unless I go custom grille.
I think somewhere is a pic by spectron65 who painted his to match.

I just put in the Putco "tribes" grill insert this weekend. It looks fantastatic and I haven't seen anything like it on the street. Got it from truckstuffusa, and there service was fantastic. Lots of communication and really quick shipping.

I'll post some pictures as soon as I get them.

MIne is the E&G Classics grille. ?I LOVE it! ?It has a chrome finish, so it is VERY noticable! ?It fits flush to the factory grille, so there is NO problem at all with opening the hood (getting to the release latch)

Look at my attached pic for another idea instead of the billet grille look. I think the cheapest thing to do would be to paint the factory grille. It would certainly be unique to 99% of the AVs out there too.

TLWiz... how much was your grill? I was looking at the E&G's but they seemed a bit expensive (for me anyway).

Babr,

It was $175. A bit more than the billet, but it is very unique I think. I don't know of any other out there but one more other than mine (obviously there is though). I bet I am the only one in the region though!

Anyway, I love it, and it does get noticed!

Thanks for the pics of those grills, they all look great. Now to decide on which way to go..aftermarket or paint????

that is much better than the prices I was quoted on another thread. I was hearing almost $300 with the install. Where did you get it? Can you self-install?

Babar,

I sent you a private message, but I guess you haven't read it.

I got it from Chris at AIDI
(989)-790-1556
or go to the website and email him:
www.aidirestyling.com
aidimich@aol.com

He is an awesome guy to deal with, and it shipped in three days. ?He is really a nice guy, and he has an Arrival blue AV with that grill on it too. ?Call or email him to get yourself one. ?Tell him you are from the club, and that I sent you along (I get no kickbacks) so you can get the $175 price. ?Shipping is extra.

The grille is an EASY install, but DO NOT follow the factory directions. ?I did and it took 2-3 hours. ?It can be done in 10 minutes!

Good Luck!
