Dashboard And Interior

Do you use the Zaino leather cleaner on everything or something else on the dash and door panels?

What, you dont buff the transmission and differential? ;D
Man!!!!! >:D I take the wheels of and polish the back side of the wheels every time I wash the AV!!! >:D Come on people, if your gonna do something, do it right!! >:D And yes, I 303 the inside of the wheel wells. It finishes off the look. But watch out for overspray. It will "dot up" your paint job. Nothing worse than protectant spots on the paint job!! ;)

You guys started spraying your wheel wells yet? Try it once, then you can say - "Man, you guys were right! It does make a difference!"

Well, the first thing I have heard that armorall is the killer for your dashed and tires, I have heard this from pro's, I love the Zaino specially that new car scent, and yes there is nothing geting some shine in those wheel wells I always wash mine I just get to beat up by the time I get to them that I dont use any protectant on them, I dont know about the rest of you guys but I always thought that the wheel wells where part of the the truck and also they are visible, I dont know I could be wrong.

Warm water and a clean cotton rag on all interior stuff, then dry with clean cotton rag. Works like a charm, is cheap, and leaves no chemical crap to collect dust and smell.

I read a few questions:

Some answers:

Clean the interior with a wet MF...once in while use a cleaner....Like 3-6 times a year....

FOr interior protectant I use the Zaino leather conditioner on everything plastic, vinyl and leather 3-6 times a year.....other times I will use a 303 type product or even Eagle one leather protectant.....

FOr fender wells....clean them and spray some cheapo Armor all or STP in there to make em look brand new....cover tires with towel to prevent it from getting on the tire treads....

good Luck

Good advise ygmn!

Haven't used the Leather in a Bottle on my vinyl interior but I plan to now.

The stuff smells good!

Wash cloth frequently and every two weeks a little Meguiars Shine sprayed on a cotton cloth to wipe down the interior, inside doors, etc. Meguiars gold class leather care works wonders on the seats. On the wheel wells I like the Meguiars all purpose cleaner. Meguiars is much easier to get here than waiting for Zaino. Just my experience. (y)

I use Murphy's Oil soap. It works great on vinyl and leather and won't dry them out or leave a sticky residue for dust.

I picked this tip up from some auto detailing guru's years ago. Best part is it smells great, almost like a new car smell.

Here's the recipe: A gallon of warm water, two caps full of Murphy's Oil soap, and a cotton diaper or micro fiber towel. Bamm! Clean away.

I've used armor all for years and have yet to see any bad effects from it. All of my experiences have been good. The only thing I don't like about it is when it gets hot inside the truck it evaporates and leaves a film on the inside of the window. :9:

I use the wipes in a bottle. They are really handy, easy to store in the side compartments, and clean everything. Once in a while I do as the others say and protect my interior with Lexol. Hope all this helps.

303 is the ticket. In my book and tested out to show it has very high UV protection and does not evaportate off the dash onto the windshield as others do. I have used 303 for maybe a dozen years on over a dozen vehicles and all dashs look new without a crack or fade anywhere.

My 2 cents!

I have full leather seats so I use the Zaino Z-10 "Leather in a Bottle." Therefore I use it on the dashboard, door panels, and steering wheel as well.

while I certainly hose off the wheel wells when cleaning the truck, I have never ever thought about armor-alling the inside of the wheel wells  - maybe if my truck was in some sort of show or something, but damn that is waay past how far I go, and I thought I was a clean car fanatic . . .

You said my lines, so I thought I would just type this and save a lot of time!

Guys,

Have gone through this thread and it seems that if I don't want to wait for Zaino leather in a bottle that 303 or Back to Black would be two good choices for me to use on the dash and other interior vinyl. Is this correct?

Also, would like any recommendations that could be purchased at Auto Zone, since it is handy, and something that has a good smell. Don't remember anything said in this thread about smell as it relates to 303 or Back to Black.

Thanks for any replies and Everyone have a Great Turkey Day!
