I always get my Av serviced at the dealer where I bought it...they recognize me everytime I pull in....

I think the reasoning behind this is....the more folks see you around and in there...the more they are less inclined to screw you so to speak.....I've made some friends while down there......

The dealer I leased from (Grossman Chevrolet has been the best dealer I have ever dealt with. I have been to over 7 different dealers in my 14 years of car buying across 3 different states (formerly in the USAF).

The entire experience was great getting the truck and the visits after delivery have also been very positive.

I really have to use the one nearest to me because driving to get an oil change would be futile. Since I bought it in MO and live in CA

I will take mine to the dealer I purchased from,the service manager is a very good friend. I also know the owner of the dealer fairly well.

Dealer . . Oh, they do SERVICE there too - I thought they only SOLD vehicles!

I'm hoping to need no warranty service, take care of all routine maintenance myself, and get reliability so good that I never have to worry about the 'big' stuff.

This theory worked on my '87 S-10 Blazer - it's never seen a dealership since I drove it off the lot new (major repair to date a new clutch and partial tranny rebuild due to a failed pilot bearing).

BUT . . if I do need warranty service, I'll be going to a dealer closer to home than where I bought. I found my perfect Av on GMBuypower in Colorado Springs (TEAM Chevy), but live in Greeley, CO - 150 miles or so north of there.
