Has anyone had their AV Gatorbacked at dealerships here in MD?  I was just curious to know, because the dealerships where I live are clueless.  Thanks!

Cisco

I tried a few dealerships in the area (I think Criswell was one) and they had never heard of it.  That was about a year ago though, things could have changed.

Also, you should give Robert at GB a call... he's helped out countless people who were in the same boat as you.

Brown-Daub in PA did it for David... might be a little out of the way for you, but I think they did a quality job.

Around PG county these dealerships are idiots, i dont really think any of them have heard about any damn thing. Just immediately request the GM District Service Rep and save a whole lot of  ****in frustration. It's just annoying because they act like every damn thing is find / normal / we'renotgonnadoanythinganyway.  So just save yourself the time and just immediately tell them it IS a problem and you want to schedule an appointment with the GM district service rep.

i did that down here in Norfolk and the people told me we'll take care of it. As a matter of fact they didnt even do that much they just handled it themselves. I'm supposed to get mine down as soon as the weather breaks

Has anyone had recent luck with Gatorback?? Now that I have my Av, I didn't think I was eligible because I'm out of the warranty.  But,  I only have 45k.

Plus I'm looking for a dealer I can trust with other work as well.  I'm in Carroll County, but I'm also in Howard County frequently.

For all of you looking for someone to do a real good Gatorback job in the Baltimore area....  I will be opening a 12k sq ft collision center in Federal Hill this October '07.  My AV will be a test pilot for a Gatorback job with extensive prep work in a dust free environment and a heated downdraft paint booth.  I'll be keeping a tab on manpower and time necessary to do a good job.

Stay tuned...

By the way, I think I saw Brad zooming by in Laurel last week.

Awesome...  Good luck with the shop!  You coming to this month's GTG?

That sounds great.  I'd be interested in costs involved, time, etc.  Would you tape off the cladding or remove it entirely.  Would you take it if I remove the cladding and brought it to you.  That would save cost and time.

Thanks.

For cost efficient, it's best to tape off the cladding and drop bumpers.  We'd prefer to paint the cladding off the truck but the decision is ultimately yours.  You'll be breaking most clips if you take the cladding off the truck.  Those clip isn't cheap at $5 each.

Hey Raider... you're right up the road from me.  If you see ambers going up or down Rt. 97 or on Rt. 26, it might be me.  :jacked:
