defroster doesnt' work

I bought my new '04 Avy a couple weeks ago, and loving all the mod options that everyone is posting out here.

I went outside this morning to let the Avy warm up and thaw the ice. I turned on defroster, temperature all the way up, and fan all the way up. I came back out about 10 minutes later and I STILL have ice. Come to find out, my defroster does NOT work, neither does the vents. Everything is blowing in the passenger side floor board. It was only 15 degrees here, has anyone experienced this with cold temperatures?

For smarter people than I: Is there a way to program the remote (keyless entry) so that when you press lock the horn honks? I know that this can be done, it is that way on my parents '02 Impala.

Also, how can you change how long the headlamps stay on once you turn the Avy off?

Do you have the steering wheel controls?

As far as the horn honk with the remote, try pressing the lock button twice and it should honk.

I am guessing your lack of a defroster will be an easy fix. If all air is blowing under the passanger side, there is probably just a loose hose coming off the main HVAC hose. The dealer could probably fix it quick...

thanks. I turned it in yesterday. Now I'm just waiting. Get this, for a vehicle to drive while they fix mine, they put me in another Avy. It's kind of funny though, I'm not fond of the color, not that it matters, but they call it red, but it looks pinkish/purple. I went to Arby's and as I was walking out, this little 3 maybe 4 year old girl points at the Avy and says "look! a Barbie car!!!" Big difference with mine being black..
