Hey guys, sorry this is a short notice. I just forgot all about it.
This year like last year there will be a Christmas lights boat parade in the marina at Joe Poole Lake and followed by fireworks, and we can again attend the Christmas Light Display in Grand Prairie that we did last year. We had a lot of fun last year and met some folks from all points in Texas.

We need to determine a meeting place convenient to everyone and then would like to be able to have a small cruise to Joe Poole Lake. Please provide suggestions.

We will be checking out everyone's mods and little BS then Proceed on to Joe Poole Lake for a meal at the Oasis restuarant there on the lake. Oasis Restaurant Then from there we will proceed to the Lynn Creek Marina MAParea for fireworks and boat parade, the parade begins at 6-6:30 If we can have enough members sign up the Oasis can reserve a section of the upstairs for our group so we can watch the show over the lake from the Restaurant. Admission to the festivities is a canned food donation.

Attendees:

Dave02Z66-1?
Vetman-1?
EddieTheHead-3
mAVrick-
NascarDave-2?
TexMexAv-?
Crash952-2

:cautious: Wish I could make it but I am already committed to be one of the judges for TribalAV's GTG in Austin for Christmas Trail of Lights, have fun you guys!

well I might be the only one going LOLKidding I know there will be several there. I remember Pete and Richard coming up for this one

Hey Dave, are we doing this in lieu of our normal monthly GTG?
Either way, should be fun again.

This sounds like fun. Is the Oasis kid freindly? If so, me and the kids will be there.
Yes kid friendly there were several there last year. the food prices are $$ reasonable and the food was real good.

the time is still open. I think we met around 2-3 pm last year then cruised to Joe Pool Lake. Any suggestions for a meeting place? I need to make reservations tomoorow at the Oasis If I can. the parade I think starts at 6:30 or 7

What time are we going to meet up???
And where???
Dave, were you able to make the resorvations??? :B:
I guess someplace in Grand Prairie away from the Parks Mall and "shopper attractions" Please feel free to make suggestions

I did get the map of where the Oasis is, but there was talk of meeting someplace before then to look over everyones rides and BS before we cruise over to the Oasis. Not sure what time the reservations for dinner are either.

the Parade is at 5:30 this year
Annual Christmas Boat Parade
5:30 p.m.
Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake

Lets meet at the Southwest Corner of Carrieir Parkway and I-20 around 4pm
I believe the reservations have been made for 4:30
I think there is a Race Track or some kind of Gas Staion on the SW corner.
And if you have then bring a FRS radio, the hand held walkie talkie things that a lot of folks have now on Channel 3. If we dont do the fireworks and do the lights drive through I will take any canned food donations and take them to the Tarrant County Food bank and donate them like I did last year in the name of the club.

Had a good time meeting everyone. Too bad it was so cold, but the food and compnay was fun.
Pics will be up soon. TexMexAv will have pics too

sorry we missed it, couldn't get ahead of the prep work on my rental house :p

We are now completely in the new house, so will be focused on getting it sorted out. Means more time for GTGs >:D

PS: There will be an Open House - BBQ - Birthday party in mid January (y) details to follow...

I had an awesome time, awesome company, new faces for me, and great camaraderie. Looking forward to the next time.

I tried to post some pic I took, but they're more than 100K :E:

I at least have the pics downloaded to my computer, just need to resize them and download to picture trail.
Greg if you want to email me the pics i can resize them for you

Dave , I think a casino night house warming/Avalanche club GTG would be an excellent idea. (y)
