DIC...right On Target!

Just wanted to share with all '03 owners that the DIC gas mileage is darn good at keeping track of the real gas mileage.....it's right on the money! The DIC was reporting 15.1 mpg for my last tank of gas and when I manually calculated it out...sure enough, 15.1!

I've been through the CD that comes with the brochure for the 03's, and it didn't mention the mpg readout. Is that a standard feature on the AV or is it a part of a package you ordered with it?

It's a standard feature of the Driver Convenience package. Any '03 with the steering wheel controls has it. It also includes Instant MPG, Avg. MPG, Avg. MPH, Personal and Business trip meters, hour meter, range to empty and fuel used.

This site has the 2003 owners manual in pdf format. It has all the details about the DIC. I like it....glad I got it!

If I leave it on "instantaneous mileage" I find myself looking at that more often than looking at the road! I guess I'll just leave it on odometer or something else before I get into an accident!

In my opinion the DIC is the best option on the '03, not available on the '02.

Checked the owners manual. I guess I didn't order the right options. Oh well......
