Is the speaker grill cover on the front door speakers removable or must the door panel be removed??

Only from behind, you'll have to take off the door panel but that's easy.  Remove the door lock cover and the bezel around the handle.  Disconnect the window switch assembly, it just pops off with a little screwdriver.  There is one screw on the bottom of the door panel that points up and one or two in the area of the door lock and/or handle that point out.  Once they're gone just lift and pull slightly.  You'll then have to remove the door light and tweeter harnesses.

Happy modding and of course...  :welcome:

You just might have been instrumental in guiding my purchase towards an Avy, but I wouldn't have found this site if I hadn't already been looking!

The biggest problem I have (no, I haven't got one yet) is how I can talk my dealership into "financing" some of the mods into the purchase price

As was said earlier in this post, AvalancheFox provides an invaluable service to those that are currently shopping for an Avalanche.  Thank you again, Fox.

Your opinions on which one to buy would help now  :needhug:  Should I buy the 2004 Arrival Blue Cladded, Loaded?  Or should I buy the 2004 Arrival Blue non-cladded with half the options? :needhug:

Have to get the cladding..  You wont regret it..!!!!

and Yes Av Fox is THE BEST..!!!!!

You sure did! The hubbly and I just put a deposit on a beautiful blue 2004...just need to wait for the present owner to have the spare tire winch repaired as it was badly corroded and broke when he went to retrieve the spare...oh well, all will be good!

I'm looking so forward to taking our new baby on the highway this coming weekend! Yippee!!

We are glad to have helped, you will love the Avy don't forget to go to the new member post and tell us about yourself.

Mantoban:

This weekend will be one of the greatest of your life!

The new car smell, the wonder of all the gadgets you have to learn.

The enjoyment of a luxury quiet quality ride.

The list is endless.

Wish I could live it all over again.

But I am still absolutely rabid over my 07 LTZ!

Thanks so much for the hearty welcome folks! We just drove our new purchase home tonight! The owner (previous that is!) told us the Chevy dealership said the winch for the spare tire was seized thus defective and was under warranty so all is good and all is fixed up beautifully! The previous owner took real good care of this vehicle and it shows...just a few minor stains in the interior here and there that I'm going to spend the weekend whiling away at as best I can and if it snows at the lake I'll spend the evening with a bottle of wine and the owner's manual!!

Lookin' forward to it...what a nice ride we just bought...I'm real pleased we found the Avalanche as we were originally looking for another Sierra, but wow...we were wowed!

Hello everyone, I am new to the site. I have been contemplating getting an 07 during the Summer.  I come on this site to see the pictures of you alls trucks. It makes me want to go out and get one instantly. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me the average monthly payments? I tried searching the old topics, but the topic seems to not exist. Hopefuly I will someday bein the ranks of an Avalanche owner.

welcome to the club legion2002, monthly payments could vary greatly depending on how much you put down, length of loan, percentage rate  etc...

legion2002 - You really should talk to Avalanche Fox. She knows her stuff. Was very helpful to me when I was shopping for my 07

Great way to find out all about Avalanches and absolutely none of the pressure you would get if you walked into a dealership!
