My name's Dave and I'm a 4wheeldriveaholic. I've convinced myself I need a new chebie so I'm in the market for an Avy. Saw one I'm interested in, haven't bought it yet. A 2008 LTZ. I already have a 2012 Tahoe LTZ. Any thing special to look for or look out for other then the usual?
I'll be using it to tow a co trailer in the 5000# range.

You will be very familiar with all the capabilities and design since you have the Tahoe (a short version of the Suburban) since the AV is built on the Suburban platform.

How do you tell a 2500 from a 1500?

2500 only made 2002 - 2006.

2500 has 8 lug nuts per wheel
1500 has 6 lug nuts per wheel.

2500 has 8.1L engine
1500 has 5.3L engine

2500 has leaf spring rear suspension
1500 has link suspension with coil spring.

all 2500 are cladded.
some1500 are NOT CLADDED AKA WBH
