Hi, I have a 2003 1500 4WD. currently have 265 70 16 tires so total wheel-tire diameter is 30.6". I see on rentawheel.com , when I type my vehicle spec, I can goto 22" wheel with total wheel tire diameter = 31.6" . I'm not clear if my vehicle is standard or has some lift, I recall when I bought it they said it had the off-road package.
How do I tell if I do have "the off road package" and if I do, does this give me the option to goto a larger wheel-tire diameter than 31.6" ?

Welcome to the website!
None of the avalanches came with a factory lift per say but there were some height differences between the different option packages LT vs. Z71 or Z66 or LTZ etc. You can look in your glovebox for a sticker will all the option codes the factory installed on your AV and then look on this website doing a word search for RPO codes and you will find a list to explain what all those numbers mean. Buy unless you bought the AV new it is hard to say if the earlier owners altered the suspension in any way.
Once you know what you own then spend some time reading older threads where many owners discuss wanting a larger tire and what will fit.
Good luck.

I found the RPO codes and the pdf with all the codes and mapped them all out. non seemed to indicate the "lift". ,

I was unaware of a factory "lift" and an RPO for such a thing.

I have heard of "dealer installed lifts", but there would not be any RPO codes for that.

I don't think there are factory installed lifts. The tires you reference look to be normal factory sized. My winter tires are that size without a lift. The 2500 came factory with 16 inch rims. Many 1500 came with factory 17 inch and a 16 inch spare.

As far as off road, look in the glove box and see if the list of RPO codes lists Z71. The Z71 did come with 17 inch wheels so if you have Z71 and 16 inch wheels, this are aftermarket.

NO such thing as factory lift as an option...

Off road would be special shocks, tires and larger 17 wheels that was shared with the onroad version
