anyone else have problems with orders placed with racenet :E: :E: Placed order for tv50 back in Oct :E: :E: Was told in Nov that I was next to get order and they were going to call around and find them :8: :8: This is the end of Dec still being told that not able to find them :8: :8: If they are not able to take care of us then we should not order from them :8: :8: :8:

Placed order with Racenet April 12th for same product... got'em AUGUST 28th !!!!!!

Call, complain, talk to supervisor... whatever.... that's the only way that I got mine finally in Aug !! They said that they'd tried to contact me by phone... I've got three #s and voice mail on each one and four email accounts... they didn't make any attempt at all !!!! For anyone else who cares and can find them elsewhere, spend a few more $$$ and get them sooner !!Good Luck.

I ordered my TV50's from them. They charged my credit card immediately then admitted they had none in stock. They lied repeatedly on the telephone. They did eventually send them and they were the right ones and in good condition. I would be moderately unwilling to do business with them again.

From what I'm reading we should get the word out not to use racenet for anything, maybe if 7500+ Avalanche owners donot order from them it might help

I am glad that you started this thread because it was high on my list of things to do. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM RACENET.

:8:

Here is my experience. Ordered and one of the products was not in stock. Promised that it would be shipped within two weeks. Billed my CC immediately. After I did not receive the goods, sent e-mail. No response. Called all day and no one answered except for an occasional fax machine. Called a few days later and was told item still not in stock. I told them I wanted to cancel and they said ok. No credit to my CC and the order arrived a week later. Called and they said it was a mistake. Paid to send it back and reported to CC company. A week after they received it back, they credited my CC for $30 less than the original amount. I had to file a dispute with my CC and spent an hour yesterday documenting the issue. :E:

Now, if you are tempted reply to this that we should complain as was mentioned above, I did--to the owner Dennis Smith. He, like the rest of the losers that work there, was rude and DID NOT GIVE A s^&t. And my approach is not to yell, cuss, etc.

The only things that I can do in this situation is:

1) Never do business with them again
2) Let everyone know of my experience

Check and check--BEWARE!!!

I own a screen printing business in Connecticut, and the one thing I have learned is this:

"Happy customers tell their friends, unhappy customers tell everybody!!!"

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll never order anything from them.

I oirder my taylor wires from them in Septish and had no problems...

Package delivered in about a week......

Maybe they have slipped since I bought my stuff....

Sounds like you did not actually deal with them. If you even spoke with them on the phone, I doubt they were friendly, helpful, etc. From the first call to the last, they were rude and indifferent. I highly doubt they have 'slipped' as this is a small 2-3 person operation. I am not aggressive with folks as I have learned that it is easier to get what you want with sugar.

The product that I bought from them that they did not have in stock was TV-50s. black-Z 71-04-NJ ordered his well before me, but they shipped mine, albeit after I cancelled the order, in mid-Dec. He still has not received his. What is up with that? Hey, black-Z, if you do get them they will probably be the ones that I sent back.

I did not cancel the order for spite, I found them elsewhere cheaper and in-stock. Had they just communicated with me, I would not have looked elsewhere.

I am sure some folks have gotten what they ordered with little problems. IMO, it is how they handle customers when there is a problem that should be an important consideration in any purchasing decision.

I have ordered hundreds of things on the net, through e-bay, etc and the owner and his staff at Racenet have shown the worst CUSTOMER NO-SERVICE, employs highly questionable (fradulent) business practices, and has no integrity.

Well it looks as if it's about 80% bad & 20% good so far. For me, that testimony will easily be reason enough to avoid them! :2:
Thanks for the warning!

With excellent service I have always received from Summitt or Jegs I would not waste my time with what looks like a cheap imitation of a real company. Looks like a few of you found out the hard way :6:

I would also say that Tom at Tbyrne, who is a site sponsor, has also been super to deal with on things that I have purchased from them. Too bad he does not stock TV-50s or I would have never gotten mixed up with Racenet.

that's very true.

I think RaceNet.net needs to receive a link to this forum post once everyone is done sharing their experiences.

Summit racing Sent a package with everthing I needed pick it up yesterday from Fedex they will get my buz frm now on on some items..I will still deal with sponsors, but I felt this was need information, and if any one belongs to other forms pass the word...

KingVolcano, go ahead an send it to them if you want. The last e-mail I sent them where I indicated anything less than a full credit = a negative thread bounced back b/c their mail server is hosed. Not that they seem to read their mail anyway...

Frankly, I would rather they figure it out on their own when sales stop.

black-Z, I am with you on posting to other sites. Was also on my todo list. You getting this started has motivated me to action. :)

Nothing like gettting ripped off....

I ordered over phone....and they were quite helpful.....even updated me by Email....

We are tallking about racenet from Houston huh?

check the Taylor wire threads many bought these from them in there when I bought mine since they were only ones with stock.....

ygmn,

Thanks for the RFMP and I did read that thread. It is why I bought from them. Although your and a few other's experience was ok, mine was not. They lied to me and others, which is UNACCEPTABLE.

I tried in a civil manner to get them to do the right thing. Now, they can deal with MBNA, who assures me that I will get the $30 credit.

Do business with them at your own risk.

P.S. I wish you luck tonight against OU. ;)

As a Gator alum, I must pull for the SEC. However, had you showed up against us there might not be a debate about who is number 1 and we would be closer to getting a head coach that can, uh, coach. That is a thread for a different forum though...

Buyer beware, at least we have been warned :6: :7: :8: :9:. This is just one of the invaluable services that members do for each other.
I will support site sponsors when ever possible.
:B: :B:

Thanks for the heads up. Like some, I've had all good experiences with Summit and Jegs. They will receive my business.
