Does anyone know where the relay for amplifier location is?

I have a 2005 Avalanche that has a parasitic draw. I have it narrowed down to the stereo/amp circuit. I had already replaced the amplifier but I still get the same results. I tested at the connector with just a test tight and it shows there is current still going to the amp while key off and asleep. So I am leaning towards the relay for this amp. I did get a wire diagram from the dealership and it shows there is a relay in this circuit but........Where is it? Does anyone know where this relay is?

I have a 2002 and my electrical system is somewhat different, but I pulled out the radio and it resolved my parasitic drain. Whether it was in the radio itself or whether pulling the radio made the amp go dormant I don't know, but it solved the problem.

When I replace the radio with an aftermarket unit I'm going to do the amp bypass. Again, my 2002 isn't the same as your 2005 but the principles might be the same. It's easy enough to remove the radio and see.

There is a forum here regarding parasitic drains , l have a 2005 LT with everything and I also thought it was my amp, but as I was pulling fuses while watching the amps on my meter it turned out to be my drivers seat button.

It is likely your drivers side seat heater. The front seat is plugged into a box under the dash by your left foot. If you unplug the plug that goes to the front seat I suspect you will find your parasitic draw goes away. What you are seeing is some artifact about your front seat pulling power that wakes the radio. Which then of course wakes the amplifier and shows your drain. I traced mine down to the main power wire going to the drivers seat but my seat heater is acting up too. I haven't pulled it apart and unplugged the seat heater yet to see if its the problem but with almost 300k miles I am sure this is my issue especially since the seat heater comes on all by its self now.

I had done a parasitic draw test which was reading .668 and when I pulled my radio/amp fuse the draw went away. I then later disconnected the amplifier itself and the draw went away. pulling the fuse brought it down to .050. Disconnecting the amplifier brought it down to .046. I had looked at the radio by disconnecting with no change. I had disconnected the rear seat controller with no change. The radio works and I get sound only I am getting this draw from the amp.

Use your tester and find the wire at the amp that goes 12v when the radio is turned on. That is the relay you are looking for, which is inside of the radio.
There should also be a “hot” wire going to the amp that shows 12v when the radio and key is off. A simple toggle switch in line of that hot wire will allow you to use your amp when you want tunes, and when not in use, flip the toggle so the amp gets no juice.
