I want to hook up the delphi XM radio console and im wondering if there are inputs. I dont want to go through GM because its an arm and a leg plus im in Canada.

I hope you have a US address available; 'don't know if XM has Canadian agreements! (I think the DAB folks would complain.)
There are several adapters on the market for line-in. If you have DAB, break the audio path from the tuner to the HU and switch them. If you have the RSE, use that audio source input (add a manual switch). I had the XM wiring interupted instead of the adapter because the XM factory harness was there. I switch my aftermarket DVD and aux audio line in when in the XM selections.
You MAY need to program the radio (dealer) for an aux position, at the worst, if you don't have those options.

I'm sure there's an overlapping footprint enough to cover the southern Canadian areas. Hopefully he can get the address issue resolved for the subscrip!

I remember reading that (the previous post, untimely post for my part...!), 'couldn't remember the exact content except for the error: "The satellites broadcast their signals back down to Earth using the L band radio frequencies (950-1450 MHZ)" They downlink using a 25 MHz chunk of the 2300 MHz "S"-Band! (Right next to Sirius). Perhaps they are stating an uplink freq which admittedly, I never investegitated -OR- it's used for their terresterial repeaters. Even then I doubt they would use that band. (STL links, HAM, Aviation, Radio Astronomy-SETI take a good chunk of that).
Edit-Added: DAB uses 1450 to 1480 MHz, just above that, as well as some VHF TV freqs in some countries.
Another thing (the uplink freqs) to find out about...

Here's a link of interest -- read the next post:
