Today was the first full day with the AV. 
First it was off to my wife's office picnic party. We got to do our very first 'change'. It was to a group of about 15. Bunches of fun.
We left in time to hit a bunch of garage sales we saw signs for on the way over. Do NOT attempt to see a bunch of garage sales when you bring the AV. In the old days, we could hit 5-10 in an hour driving the other vehicles. Oh not even close in the AV.
At the first one, we 'changed' for 6 people.
2 at the 2nd.
Literally cleared the drive sale and neighbor's yard at the 3rd.
Once you start, others start showing up so you start to repeat stuff.
Needles to say we did make it out of there but it was over an hour in just those 3. (all 3 were in the same neighbor hood!!)
Heading for the hwy back home, I noticed a lowrider all tricked out pacing next to us. I look over and the passanger asks if I will change for a buck. Thanks to an earlier post, I asked for the cash up front. He laughs and we part ways.
My wife said it was like being a celebrity. Very fun but man it cuts down on the number of garage sales you can hit.
Cool thing is every single person we saw responding to the our Avalanche thought it was cool. Some said it was really going to sell big once more people see them in person. Only weird reaction was from a cabbie sitting waiting for a fare. He leaned out his open door, lifted his sun glasses and (easily reading his lips) he said; "What the #$%@*&( ?" He leaned further to watch the whole time until I turned the corner.
