It finally rained in southern california and my Av alarm went off during the night :E:  The interior lights were on but all doors were locked ( also have the jimmy jammer on front doors and key block) No forced entry made, I turned off alarm and started the truck, RIGHT REAR DOOR AJAR ! Crap :E: It was raining so the fix had to wait. I manually locked the doors so alarm wouldn't sound and after 20min the interior lights turned off and all was well. Following morning I drove to work with interior lights on and RIGHT REAR DOOR AJAR. Today its sunny I removed the passenger door panel and saw the plug located on top of the faulty switch. Theres a plug on top and bottom, I removed the top plug and the interior light went out. I cycled the alarm on and off and the door lock worked fine. I removed the bottom plug and the door locks no longer worked so I plugged it back in. I left the top plug unplugged and started the truck and the RIGHT REAR DOOR ALARM cleared. The only negative I've found with this fix is the interior lights no longer work when I open right rear door WGAF ? I have the part on order, its only 40. and easy to replace. In the meantime I can drive with my interior lights off and my alarm works correctly again.

I know this is old but other peeps. It rained then door ajar message door open switch is in the door. Door switch is getting wet.

Me too same problem and I threw a part I didn't need at the same problem and it fixed till the next rain.

Real Solution is silicone around where water could get in and lots of dielectric grease at the connector.
