I like blue vehicles, both are blue.  (y)

2010 LTZ,  106648 miles, $16,995

2010 LT,  99830 miles, $17,750

I have not seen either in person. Have checked background/records with carfax and autocheck, no concerns there. I'm aware that not all services, accidents,...are reported to those 2 agencies. So, assuming no stories behind the trucks, which one would you choose? Mileage and prices are a wash to me. I'm a little concerned about the Autoride in the LTZ, maybe expensive to repair down the line? And the lighter interior while looking very nice, will show stains easily.

Thanks!

Both trucks clean up nice.

The LTZ has a dash mat and they are careful to not show the actual dash in any of the pictures.

They also do not show any bed pictures on the LTZ.

Having had the experience with the EXT, I am sure you will be addressing those concerns.

Best of luck, this go round.

I like the 99K one because of the black interior BUT, it doesn't have the NAV or Sunroof.. So I would get the 106K AV... Just MHO..

Agreed on the dash mat concern.  I bet the dash is cracked.

Have you checked private party offerings?  I'm leary of used car lots.  That was my huge mistake when I bought ours.

Notice the instrument cluster on the LTZ? Go to the pic with the mileage, part of the odometer doesn't light up. I'd probably choose the LTZ still, just wanted to make sure you saw the cluster. I believe the issue is common and there are fixes listed on this site.

Possibly my favorite LTZ included option:  Autoride bi-state variable shock dampening and rear, air-assisted load leveling. Oh that and the heated AND cooled seats

Here is the 2010 brochure so you could scan all of the available options on each model and see what the trucks you're looking at are equipped with: https://www.pietersen.us/files/chevroletus-avalanche2010_1558529341_4f1f1d26.pdf

Yes, I'm looking at private party as well.
What do you think of this one?
Thanks!!

Yeah, I noticed that too. This one is last on my list, as I've a couple other ones from private sellers that are "better".
Thanks for the brochure!!!

EXT4ME, Randy:

Thanks for your opinions. For sure I'll check everything out best I can.

Would you pass on an AV that has the majority of its life in Iowa, Illinois, and Utah?
I would think that salt and snow is something to consider.
This one is a 2011 LTZ, 114,902 miles, $18,995

In several cases, I've noticed that the climate control knob appears to have a blob of color. Any idea on what that's about?

Defiantly a consideration but the only way to know what lurks underneath is to look at it or have it inspected..

Looks nice.  Do a KBB for that area to see what the going price is.  You know some of the trouble spots so you can ask for additional pictures such as the dash.  If it's a one owner I'd consider that a plus.

Very common, both of my GM's have this. The outer printed layer wears off the buttons that are pressed most. I've read great things about the fix-it stickers you can get for $8 on Amazon, but haven't bothered with it (yet) myself. https://www.amazon.com/Button-Replacement-Stickers-Select-Vehicles/dp/B07KRMKHGW/

I like a blue truck, but the Forest Green Metallic is a rare one, indeed.

All things being the same, I think that color would sway me in that direction.

Update: I test drove both trucks in the first post: the dark blue 2010 LT and the black 2010 LTZ.

Both drove nice.  The blue has 2 issues: small  crack at the corner near the VIN plate, and one of the storage bin in the fender cannot be opened. Dealer is working on it. The dash crack is a minor issue,  not very visible. Surprisingly, what I  think I  want more is a backup camera.  I really liked it in the LTZ.

The black LTZ is very nice inside.  But, it was in Iowa, Illinois,  and Utah before getting to CA. As a result,  I  saw many rusted areas inder the truck and in the engine bay.

So at this time,  the LTZ is out. I'm waiting for the dealer to fix the rear storage bin, and I'm gonna ask for a discount for the dash crack.

In the meantime,  I'm looking for another  LTZ, or at least an LT with backup camera.  The private party truck that was linked to in a post above has gone dark.  No response from seller. Maybe it was sold.

For the record, I spent about 3 months looking for my 2010, and I found nearly all southern and west coast Av 4WD were brought in off auction from northern states and even quite a few from Canada. But if you don't want/need 4 wheel drive, you should be able to do better.
