I have a rattle noise coming from the driver side A pillar area...or perhaps something below that. It only makes noise when I just start moving and is gone by second gear. It's to the point of anoying me though. Anyone else have this problem or shoud I have the dealer tear into my truck?

Could it be the loose tweeter speaker problem? There's a TSB out on that. See

I had a rattle that seemed to be to be coming from inside the door while I was driving slowly. Turned out to be an improperly installed Power Window Regulator, whatever that is. A voltage regulator perhaps? This was on the driver side. On the passenger side, the same regulator needed to be replaced as it was making a rattling noise when the window was going up or down. They said it was burining out.

prov431,

I have a similar noise coming from the same area. As I am driving, if I hear it I can press against the door with my elbow and it stops. This is just above the arm rest near the end of the door. I think it's just the parts of the door breaking in and loosening. I have thought about trying to tighten clips, screws etc, but this may lead to more noises. If it continues for to long I will take further action, but until then I don't think there is much to be done.
I will try using some silicone spray and see if that helps. Will post results.

Good Luck.

Pegtech,

The "Power Window Regulator" is the mechanism that raises and lowers the window. I guess it could be something that was on an original patent application for mechanical roll-up windows. "A device to regulate..."

ChevyThunder: I thought it was the cladding or armrest as well. It sounded like something plastic was rattling around but since they reinstalled the window regulator, it doesnt make any noice at all. If you end up taking it in, have them check the window regulator installation.
