Recently had the drivers rear quarter panel slammed into. I know the replacement of the panel is a major process and not one I can do myself in my current situation. As you can see in the photo the whole rear bumper will need to be replaced with new along side with the tail light and cladding piece. As far as body damage most of the crumple is where the cladding sits however its slightly bent behind the light. The tailgate is also slightly mis-aligned now and requires it to be slammed in order to shut.

Does anyone know a place to order a new or used bumper (I tried my local pick n pull, the only one they had was also messed up) Also know where I can find more info on replacing the panel, all I could find was a video on YouTube (which was helpful) but any and all info would be helpful.

I am located in Nor Cal near Oceanside, any shop recommendation if available would be nice as well.

I ordered a new bumper for my 2002 from an ebay seller named "bumper-outlet." Was around $325 total including taxes and shipping (I'm in SF bay area.) Took about 10 days to arrive due to some shipping delays, but it seems to be of high quality, and it wasn't too hard to swap out. The cladding on the bumper was wrecked, so I didn't bother putting any cladding back on it.

The quarter panel replacement requires some real body work, unfortunately it's not a bolt-on, maybe you already know since you watched a video. I found the panels for sale on ebay as well, as repair panels, probably for rust repair in the northern rust belt areas, but they could be used to repair collision damage as well. I considered trying to do it myself, but decided it's not worth the trouble since at this point for me the damage is mostly cosmetic. I managed to repair the tailgate hinge and added some toggle latches to secure the tailgate since the tailgate locking mechanism also broke. Functionally it's working fine for me now.

I think if you have a shop do it they'll source their own repair panels or other sheet metal to complete the job. But it's not going to be cheap, it will be many hours of body work to fix it, if you can even find a shop willing to do it. I tried to get a quote from two different body shops, both of which didn't want the job. They said it would be far too expensive to be worth it, and didn't want to waste time on the estimate. A small independent shop is your best bet, although those are the places that turned me away.

You can try www.lkqpickyourpart.com to see if they have yards near you with an Avalanche and/or lkq.com which will give you a form to fill in and they will try to locate around the country for you.

Just to pile on:
I have had great success over the years with the junk yard website => car-part.com finding local parts,
and on line ordering from LKQ when I could not find it @ a local junk yard.
