03 Chevy avy, z66, pewter, 237k miles. Window drivers side is slow to go up. Worked fine until I had window replaced last year. Could be original window motor. Any ideas? Can the speed be adjusted? Thanks. Bob Robert.

You could try spraying some lubricate on the regulator tracks.
My passenger side was slow and I replaced the regulator and motor. That made it worst so I put the original back in and sent the replacement back.

The driver side front window regulator went out on my truck a while back. The cables had rusted and frayed, and got jammed in the works.
Replaced it with a new Dorman window regulator assembly (new motor was included with the regulator).
So if your window is slower than the all the others, have a look at the cables and see if they are starting to fray or corrode. If they appear ok, try getting some lube down into them, and then cycle the window a bunch of times to help the lube soak in. Maybe that's all it needs.

To significantly improve your window speed, clean the contacts on the circuit board under the switches. It worked for me. Also consider upgrading the door speakers "while you are in there". The door panel must be removed to access the screws to release the switch pod. The regulator and rails can be serviced, too. Disassembly is not difficult.

My (front) passenger side window regulator was essentially dead when I acquired my '04.. Once inside I noticed the cables badly rusted and one had separated. I bought replacement regulators or both front doors, and immediately replaced the passenger side. The passenger window now operates "great" and seems faster to raise than the drivers side.

Once the weather was good enough and I had another excuse to go in the drivers side (replacing the lock cylinder) I decided to replace the drivers side regulator.. To my surprise the drivers side (OEM) regulator (on this 18YO truck) looked to be in great shape. With the new regulator installed the window was VERY slow to raise, and on repeated attempts would go out on overload. I tried to figure out what was "hanging up" to no avail. I reinstalled the old window regulator.. Works just like it used to (seems slower than the passenger side, but works).
Maybe when I have time I'll tackle it again.

Good luck determining why it is "Slow" I'd like to know what you find out.
