Driving with window removed?

Just took my window out yesterday. Removing two carseats is a PITA, but worth it. Been wanting it out for a while again.

Took my back window out today... just laid in the back cause my son was already in his carseat.

I work 6am to 430pm and many people have lunch at 430pm.  It is PRICELESS to see everyone on lunch react to my trucks easy transfomation.  Jaws drop when I stash my window as fast as they roll down.

Here in STL we are getting into Autumn and we had a nice stretch last week when the morning temp was about 55-58 degrees. Took the window out, closed the rest and had a rather nice, crisp breeze through the cab. Loved it.

i found that even after a heavy day of offroading, or ranch working  no matter what particles are in the back  flying down the highway they rarely make it into the truck. i think its bc of the design how the back of the roof actually extends over the window.. i even drove in the rain with back windo out with no issues  also makes it very conveinant for your back seat partners to reach the cooler  so you avoid open container laws while offroading

Is there like a kit you can get so you can have your midgate down and keep your window in?

No kit neccesary.  If you leave the window in, the crossbar doesnt go down with the midgate and the window stays in place.  If you put the window in the midgate stow away location, it pushes on a lever or something and the crossbar drop with the midgate.

in short: leave window in and drop midgate or put window in storage location(on the midgate) and drop the midgate.

I'm storing my Av right now with the midgate down and the window in. I'm hoping that the air change will keep the temp down in the cab. I laid out a blanket so my kids could play in the "tunnel"...I kept the covers on and turned on the light. it's really cool.

Midgate down, window in, covers on is my emergency camping arrangements.  I have a low profile double air mattress that fits in there real nice.

Removing the back window?.. on a nice day?.I drive with it out, windows down and sunroof open quite a bit.  LOVE IT! 

Too late now, but it is a shame that a bit more engineering didn't go into creating a power window that went into the mid gate.  How cool would that have been.  Spontaneous all windows down?.
