DRL Question?

Well I changed my DLR's to Amber lamps (4157Nall's), started up the Avalanche in the driveway....but when I went to check the new Amber lamps....they were not on. Checked the fuse, connections and decieded to worry about it later since it was time to leave for my 51/2 year olds soccer game.
On the way to the game, I noticed the amber lights ON...in the reflection of the suburban in front of me! So my question, do the DRL's only come on when the truck is in drive?? I figured they came on when I started up the Av. Soory for the long note.....and THANKS for any info.

They Only come on out of park unless you do the full time DRL mod

Before you go ahead and do this, I would go to a Colorado cruise or something and hook up with Nople, CO Z71, or maybe me to help out. Our Av has this mod but I would have never done it myself. Just too many things can go wrong if you make one false move in the electrical center .

That is very good advice. I would much rather have someone who knows what they are doing. I looked at a few of the post on the full time DRL's....wow...what a tangle of wires. Thanks CoAvZ71....hope to meet some of you all sometime.
