DTC codes not clearing

First, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this issue, so I do apologize. Second, I posted about the problem that I'm having with my 02 with the throttle system giving reduced engine power. I replaced the pigtail connector to the tac motor and still giving me the codes. ok, long story short. I'm attempting to clear the DTC codes, but the only light to go away is the Traction Control light, only to return and go back into reduced engine power when I restart the truck. I did the continuity test with my DMM on the tac motor connector, TPS, and MAF (not sure why I did the MAF lol)... test is good. I'm starting to believe that the ECM is bad, but not 100% sure. I've seen that an ECM software upgrade corrects the P1516 and P1518, but I have other DTC codes as well (P1120, P1220). Any ideas?

I'll take look, just a FYI some codes stay in memory so make sure your reader can clear stored codes.

Yes, it can clear codes. I've used the same reader in another vehicle and it cleared the codes in that vehicle fine. However, on the Avy, it only cleared the reduced engine power light as well as the traction control light... the check engine light remained on. I shut it down and restarted it and in less than 5 seconds, reduced engine power and traction control light are back. Disconnected the battery for 20 minutes hoping to reset the ECM. I'm at wit's end because I haven't too long got it back from having the 3-4 clutches replaced. LOL That's why I'm leaning towards a bad ECM. I know for a fact the software has not been updated to the latest calibration.

Sorry to say it but I'd have a dealer verify what's wrong before replacing it.
I know I know we always hate to take it to a dealer but they have the equipment to tell you whats broke (well sometimes)
One thing about the internet we are not there where you are,

Another thing you should do is put your year and model in your signature so we know what we are working with.

You know, I phoned the dealer last week and the service dude told me an ECM update would be 150 an hr. I'm like wtf! LOL He asked why would I need an update and I told him my issues and from what I've researched from the internet (I think there's also a TSB for it as well... I could be wrong).
