Had some time today so off to Meijers to pick up a kit. Now what the kit did not come with was Paint Prep and clear coat which the instructions clearly state to use which luckily I had already. It was 25.00 and the only thing I did not like is the color contrast, not enough of it.

Here is what I started with while massing off one side

After the first application of the metallic base coat (the base coat looks good by itself)

After the final application of the second coating.

Finish product

Decided to do the fuse box cover also.

Well I bought another rattle can then decided to try another mod I had seen before. This time Duplicolor Custom wrap.

I put on 6 layers and 2 clear coats, not sure how long it will last.

I did try a vinyl wrap, but let us say it did not go too well.

You bet everything looks good masked up, but when you pull off the masking you have to ask yourself do I really like it. I learned that the hard way.

Got the other side done, it was much easier since I knew what to expect.

On a side note I was reading about using 0000 steel wool to clean the windows and it worked like a champ.
Pretty good looking for 12 year old glass I used invisible glass and RainX also. This is the best they ever have been shining like mirrors

I have had some things I have done that were immediately reversed... like when I tried to plastidip the Chevrolet on the tailgate :laugh:

I think it would have looked good if it didn't look like a kindergartner did the masking :laugh:

The B pillars look like they came out great

I redid mine over the summer when I swapped to the in-channel vent visors and it was way easier the second time :laugh:
