Born Sept 01 bought Feb 02 Albany NY. It took me 5 months to find it. I wanted orange North-Face 4.10 sunroof etc. Was told only 4 shipped to USA 2 in Cali. 1 in NY 1 in Florida

I have to vote for other.
They went on sale in June 2001 but there was one actually built in April 2001 and 717 in May 2001 (including mine).
I wonder who owns that very first production Avalanche ?

Mine is One of the newest here, she was born May 2002 and is 3 months old!

Found a sheet of paper in mine (in spanish) from Silao assembly plant. Bunch of numbers and date of 05/02/02.
I'm assuming that is the born date otherwise how do you find it

Mine was born 06/02. All those little green stickers say it was inspected June 6, 2002.
02/02...musta sat on dealers lot but I did save some bux from a couple of price hikes...

My AV started at Wintergreen Chevy in L.A. and somehow made it to Tracy CA where it was sent to Antioch CA for some mods and then I picked it up in Tracy after Mods were done.
Whew a traveling rig before I even was able to take it home.

Born 06/02. Invoice said shipped from factory on 6/08/02.
I can celebrate my Av's birthday next year. I'll have to save up for a special modification as a gift.

Born 7/01 bought 7/12/01.....Just had a birthday...it got some presents from stripeman, Jason, JVC, Glascape, Joe W....<update> just crawled out from under my AV..yet another MOD and noticed the sticker on the fram (passender side) Production Date:7/4/01 ?Three Cheers for the Red White & Blue....I guess the bow tie and back window are more appropriate now
