Where are you coming from?

Anyone interested in a group caravan out to the National Meet? If we schedule things with enough interest, we can probably get some deals on rooms along the way.

Also, if anyone wants to share driving expenses by carpooling or via ShapeShifter's method

Awww... I've never had anything named after me before.

I don't know if I'm going yet, but it sure would be easier as part of a caravan, carpool, or other combined effort.

I only see a few downsides to a caravan: some people will want to leave earlier, and others will need to leave later. Also, some will want to spend most of the time driving and as little as possible sleeping, while others (particulary those with smaller children) will need to take a slower pace with more and longer stops, or to stop and see sights along the way.

Maybe we will need to have a few different groups (early vs. late, express vs local)? Time will tell. But first, we gotta start talking about it, and this is an excellent conduit for that.

Maybe we can arrange a few meeting points along the way for different area groups to meet up and cruise in?
