yup but thats not me. a fall cruise to the Adirondacks sounds good to me how about anybody else? I know a couple of great places to eat.

meet at the Max V Shaul State Park at 11:00am Aug. 24, The park is 6 miles south of Middleburg on State Route 30. we can have a Picnic type lunch here, bring your own eats and drinks. We can chew the fat there for awhile then proceed up the Mountain to travel around for some light offroading. I will scout the area out this weekend to check for washouts ect. We can finish up at the parking lot of Looking Glass pond the kids can get out and run around. Does everyone have a FRS Radio? I think that wil help keep us all together. Any other ideas.

Final plans..
We will meet at the Parking area 1 mile North of Max V Shaul State Park at 11:00am Aug. 24, The parking area is 5 miles south of Middleburg,NY on State Route 30. we can have a Picnic type lunch on top o Mountain, bring your own eats and drinks. We can visit there for awhile then proceed up the Mountain to travel around for some light offroading. (2wd will be ok) This parking area can be seen from Rt 30. So look for the other Avalanches. This is an old thread. Did the GTG ever happen??
 
I would love to have a GTG here in the Albany area, Everyday I see more and more AV's around. Count me in helping to organize a GTG. Cadboy1, would you drive to Albany? :love:
 
I'd be up for a GTG, in upstate NY near Albany, how about a Hooters GTG ;D. Let me know if this gets off the ground. The one back in 02, never got off the ground to my knowledge :cautious:. Hopefully now we can get one going (y).

HOOTERS would be a great place for a starting GTG (y). COME ON NY MEMBERS POST UP AND COME OUT TO THE START OF THE EASTERN NY CHAPTER FOR A GTG IN ALBANY.

Well it looks like we have three so far for a GTG in the Albany area. Maybe we could arrange for a ride somewhere in the Adirondack Mountains before all the leaves fall to the ground. We then can end the GTG at hooters. They do have good french fries. Cadboy, your the best :love:, driving all the way from LI to visit Albany, you must really have something special in that area. Maybe we can get others to drive from LI & NJ to see whats so special about the Adirondack Mountains :-*

Mike, You pick the date since you will be driving here--Sun Oct 31 ( Halloween night- most likey not a good day or night ) Then you are on vacation, then we have the Hot Dog run Sun Nov 21 and then Holidays and and...should we wait until next year- just kidding.. Its up to you...and then we can figure out where to go...
 
Just want to put this back on top. This is what usually happens, someone posts that they have interest in starting a new chapter, and they get some others to post that they are interested, but then no further action is taken, no one organizes a GTG, and nothing ever comes of it. I think we should just start throwing dates out there, doesn't matter how many show up, it can be 2,3,4,etc. All we need to do is have a couple members meet so that we can get something going and get this Chapter off the ground (y). I'd vote for sometime in November, and like I said we don't need to have everyone show up, it isn't required, we just need to see if we can put a new chapter together. Because if we don't do this right away, meaning this year and wait till winter 05 or even spring 05, everyone will forget, and we'll have to start all over again.
SO WHO WANTS TO MEET SOMEWHERE IN ALBANY IN NOVEMBER?

How about this... Sunday NOVEMBER 28th. It's a Sunday, (Cadboy, Cigarman and others that have asked for a Sunday GTG)
