EBCM Wire Harness

I am trying to check the wire harness the goes to the EBCM on a 2006 Chevy Avalanche Z71. I can get the cover off but there is a strap that holds it on. The cover will not go past this cover and the wire harness prevents it from going off the other way. Does anyone know how to remove the strap or trick to get it off?

looks like you need to move the latch thingy forward to allow room for connector to come out.

Rearward look like it locks it on.

I have tried to move it as far as it would go both ways and no luck. Thinking there must be someway to remove it completely but not sure how
