Do these run by the trucks pcm like stock or have there own switch.

Im debating having them installed. I rather have the pcm run them like stock less hassle.

An ideas?

Thanx.

The dual Flex-a-lites are controlled by a probe in the radiator and uese their own controler - there is a tap line for the AC trigger which is all the PCM really worries about. If you get the variable speed ones they also have a cool down phase after IGN off - very similar to my Jeep GC.

Is anyone using one of these dual felx-a-lite fans?

If so are there any warranty issues with the dealer?

And do they do a good job of cooling down the engine temp?

THX

Hi RGV,

My temp gauge hasn't gone any higher than it did with the stock fan.

Thanks for info " Redshift".... :)

Defenitly a mode I would like to do on my AV.

Has anybody had any problems with dealer service center as far as warranty?

Thx

The warranty question comes up frequently.

The dealer can't deny a warranty claim simply on modifications. If the brakes fail they can't deny the claim because of your fans. If the engine overheats you may be in trouble.

Cool. Payback for me would be about 2 years (appx 300miles/yr). But the engince efficency, hp gain and mod'ing...would make me happy ;D
