electric tailgate lock

Was just wondering if someone can tell me if they have ever heard of Dyno electric tailgate locks? I am looking at one on Ebay, item #7908768763. What is a good price on these and should I get the guys at the dealer to put it on? (I am NOT mechanical at all)
 
Before you buy, check with Rod about his tailgate kits. He has very good products and is a very nice guy.

On the thread posted above, there is much discussion about the Dyno lock, and problems and benefits. I too suggest you review the thread, although it is quite lengthy. I might suggest starting to-wards the middle of the thread. I opted for "Rod's" kit, as it has added features like: Turning on bed lights when opening tailgate, turning on bed/saddle bag lights when opening saddlebags, alarming saddlebags and the tailgate, and finally no wires to restrict tailgate removal.
 
When we were at the OKC GTG, Rod was showing us a new toy he came up with. He tied a locking gas panel into his keyless entry remote. So when he unlocked his doors so did his gas panel, another creative mod by Rod. ;D
 
Yes, I just put one on and it works fine. They said they were shipping an improved model of their original version. Their web site had pretty good pictures and a video. I would definately suggest that you get a professional. They may even have dealers in your area that can istalll it. Call 800-966-8785 and ask for Mr Ed.
