I am considering adding an engine block heater, battery blanket, and oil pan heater, through my auxiliary battery setup. Any suggestions?

Do you really think you need it in your location?

Well, kind of. It's 24°F today. Looking at a long cold winter. Plus, I travel. Maybe in some cold areas.

unless you are going to areas that are -15° I would not worry about it. However, this is a good one that might meet your needs:

Zerostart 3100109 Engine Block Heater

It's a threaded heater that threads directly into the engine block

You can also find a battery heating pad for around $20

Kat's 24100 100 Watt 4"x 5" Universal Hot Pad Heater

Thank you. that is helpful. I want the heater(s) so the Avalanche will start easier, and be at operating temp sooner.

YOu live in Texas....

Heater and stuff waste of money....

Those things meant for peeps in ALaska and Minnesota and other very northern states where it gets well below 0F

I appreciate the info. I've never really used block heaters or anything like that, so, not sure how well they work. I mostly just idle up to operating temp.
