My story, in case this happens to you:

2003 Z-71 w/ 9K miles. (The engine, exhaust, etc, are all stock)

Driving to work this morning when engine started to run rough and provided low power. Check engine light came on. Pulled into work, shut it down called OnStar. They told me it was a "Severe" problem, and to stop the vehicle as soon as safely possible, etc. OnStar then arranged for the dispatch of a flatbed for tow to the dealer.

Dealer fixed problem in about 2 hours. Apparently a bad fuel injector.

From what I understand, this is what the codes decipher out as:

P0300(M) = Multiple Cylinder Misfire, Misfire detected in multiple cylinders.

P0200 = (don't remember, but something with the ignition)

All is good now.

This was my first problem with the Av.

P0200 = The control module enables the appropriate fuel injector pulse for each cylinder. Ignition voltage is supplied to the fuel injectors. The control module controls each fuel injector by grounding the control circuit via a solid state device called a driver. The control module monitors the status of each driver. If the control module detects an incorrect voltage for the commanded state of the driver, DTC P0200 sets.

P0300 = The powertrain control module (PCM) uses information from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and the camshaft position (CMP) sensor in order to determine when an engine misfire is occurring. By monitoring variations in the crankshaft rotation speed for each cylinder, the PCM is able to detect individual misfire events. A misfire rate that is high enough can cause the 3-way catalytic converter (TWC) to overheat under certain driving conditions. The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) will flash ON and OFF when the conditions for TWC overheating are present. If the PCM detects a misfire rate sufficient to cause emission levels to exceed mandated standards, DTC P0300 will set.

I'm having the same problem, I just got the P0300 code with a flashing check engine light. Does this have to be fixed at the dealer? I'm in Germany right now and I can't drive my truck to a dealer. Can I fix this myself or order a fuel injector and have a mechanic install it? Can a bad PVC valve or vacuum leak cause this indication as well?
Any help is appreciated.
